one of our kittens loves water so much that she'll run to the sink when you turn it on so she can get in before you turn the water off. she was in there today and I decided that it was too cold for her to get wet in cold water, so I made it warm. she liked that so much that she just sat under the water and got soaking wet. then, of course, she decided she was done with the water when I wasn't paying attention so I had to chase her all over the house so I could dry her off. now there are wet little footprints all over the tile in the kitchen and dining room and hallway.

I answer phones at a place that sells vehicles. These 2 calls were from 2 different people..

Me: Hi! This is [Dealership]. How may I direct your call?
Customer: Yes, I need directions to you.
Me: Ok. Where you coming from?
Customer: The south.
Me: Ok! Just take [This Highway] north and...
Customer: Get off on [Wrong St]?!
Me: No.. get off on [Right St]...
Customer: I can come from [Different Highway].
Me: Yes, you can. Then, you will want to...
Customer: Get off on [Wrong St]?!?!
Me: No.. actually merge onto [Yet another Highway]..
Customer: Ok. So, I'll just take [This Highway] to [Yet another Highway].
Me: No.. if you are going to take [This Highway], get off on [Right St] and turn left.
Customer: Ok ok.. let me write this down. [This Highway] south..
Me: Actually, you will want to go north.. if you are coming from the south..
Customer: Ok, [This Highway] north. Get off on [Wrong St]..
Me: o.0... Nope. [Right St]. And turn left.
Customer: Ok. Left and then..?
Me: A right on [Next St] and we are right there!
Customer: Ok.. [N-E-X-T St]?
Me: Yes...
Customer: Ok!
*She repeats directions.. and I hold my breath until I hear she repeated them correctly*
Customer: Thanks! *hang up*
Me: ...welcome... -.-"

Me: Hi! This is [Dealership]. How may I direct your call?
Customer: Is your address [blahblahblah]?
Me: Yes.
Customer: You are located 22 miles from me?!
Me: Um...
Customer: I put directions in my GPS and it says you are 22 miles from me. But I'm only located [4 miles down the road]?
Me: I'm not sure why it's saying that. We are only 4 miles up the road from you.
Customer: Ok.. so I can just get on [This Highway]?
Me: Yes, then just turn left and a right on [Next St] and we are right there!
Customer: [N-E-X-T St]??
Me: Yes... at the bottom of the hill.
Customer: ok! *hangs up*

Geez.. would you drive into a lake if the GPS told you to?!

Tomorrow, November 10th, Disney Pixar’s “UP” movie arrives on Blu-ray and DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

The “UP” Blu-ray Combo Pack comes with four discs while the “UP” DVD comes with two. Both sets include a DisneyFile – a digital copy of the movie which can be viewed on electronic devices.

I want this!

I comment here a fair amount but haven't made a post in ages..scary, no?

My bedroom currently remains very similar to how it was when I last posted 1-2 years ago, but I'm having some real problems with my workspace and would love some ideas on how to make it more functional as well as inspirational and motivational.

Right now I am an 18-year-old Photography/Media 6th form student living at home and a hopefully-soon-to-be fashion student; whilst I tend to do most of my work at school because of their fabulous printers, I occasionally use my laptop for last-minute research, so it needs to be practical for a busy yet lazy student. I also write this fashion blog and tend to scribble ideas down on bits of paper and shove them into drawers and forget about them. Additionally I sell on Ebay and so have parcel tape, envelopes and sharpie pens scattered around the place which I need to keep together, though I keep my envelopes in our rather packed, even messier junk room so it's not quite as full. Therefore my area also needs to have great organisation and motivate me to write regularly and keep everything tidy, organised and out of the way. On top of all of that, I use it for my regular internet stuff such as MSN and Facebook, plus the occasional DVD and CD. That is a lot of computer time in one day!

So how does one transform a small half-bedroom space into a super-motivation work station without spending too much money?

I'd be so grateful for any ideas on how to revamp the space.

Walt Disney Co’s sports complex in central Florida will be renamed in February after its ESPN unit, in a move to strengthen the well-known sports brand’s ties with young athletes.

The shift — plans for which were announced about a year ago — targets the 500,000 athletes and 1.5 million spectators who annually visit the 220-acre multisport complex near Disney’s theme park in Orlando, Florida, officials said.

“ESPN is doing this because they want to get closer to the fan and in particular they want to get closer to the youth athlete,” Ken Potrock, Disney’s senior vice president of global sports, said in a telephone interview.

“The youth athlete is the pipeline for tomorrow for ESPN and their ability to build an association and loyalty among that constituency, both male and female, is a major opportunity,” he added.

The 10-year-old complex will be renamed the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on February 25 and ESPN will use its on-air talent to customize and personalize the experience for the athletes, many in the highly desired 8-to-17 age range, Potrock said.

The hope is they become ESPN fans young and at the same time their families visit the nearby Walt Disney World park, stay in Disney hotels, eat at Disney-owned restaurants and buy Disney merchandise, he said.

“It kind of falls into the ‘duh’ category, which is when you own one of if not the most powerful brand in sports, ESPN, what could you do to leverage that brand?” Potrock said.

A large majority of those who visit the sports complex, paying admission and team registration fees, also go to the theme park, he said.

If attendance rises at the sports complex, Potrock said Disney has hundreds of acres of land to expand. Attendance has not declined during the recession as parents splurge on the experience of having their children play in football, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey and other sports tournaments.

To create a compelling experience, the company has 40 digital boards and Jumbotron screens around the property that will show clips of action at the complex, narrated by ESPN on-air personalities, Potrock said. Visitors also will be able to view game action at the complex on a dedicated TV channel in any one of Disney’s 27,000 hotel rooms at the nearby resort.

Representing Disney Cruise Line, Sailor Mickey will tower over the streets of New York on Thanksgiving morning as part of the Macy’s 83rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade procession. Sailor Mickey (pictured left, upper left corner), is 48.1 feet long, 33.6 feet wide and 60.9 feet tall and will be filled with 14,750 cubic feet of helium during his maiden voyage. The anchor on which he rides is approximately four times the size of an actual cruise ship anchor.

Other new balloons this year include the Pillsbury Doughboy, a new Ronald McDonald and an all-new Spider-man.

This year also marks the first year in the parade’s history that its primary route will not be along Broadway. Instead it will travel south along Seventh Avenue to 42nd Street and then cross over to the Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) for the remainder of the route.

Earlier this week, we told you about the new Sailor Mickey helium balloon that will make its debut during the 83rd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

Today we bring you news of the Sailor Mickey plush by Gund exclusively from Macy’s to commemorate the event. The 18″ collectible plush speaks three phrases: ‘Gosh, you’re great,’ ‘Ahoy there mateys’ and ‘Merry Christmas!’ and includes a bonus alarm clock which doubles as his own personal compass. He retails for $14.95 and can be found in the Holiday department at Macy’s all over or can be purchased online (where you can also check local store inventory).

For our friends in Chicago, Sailor Mickey and Minnie will be making a personal appearance at the Macy’s State Street store on November 14. They’ll be joining the fun in the Kid’s Department on the 5th floor where there will be holiday crafts including ornament, wreath and candy cane making in addition to other fun activities.

From OceanUp: From Katie: A close friend of mine is a tattoo artist in Philadelphia. Last week Miley came in and asked to get a small black butterfly tattoo on her lower back. She got it and was so excited, she was with her Brandi and some other guy, maybe her sister's boyfriend. I wouldn't be surprised if photos start showing up.

 Dear sir,
I'm sure that you know that I treat all my customers with respect. Every one of my regulars has got a criminal record, and thus it is wise to stay on their good side. They're lovely to me as a result of my good manners and my usually gentle handling of them when they're drunk.
However, if you:
-Grab me by the collar, yanking me over the bar (causing me to get winded as I ram into the edge) and yelling 'I should put a leash on you and drag you away'
- Spray spittle in my ear while talking an incomprehensible mixture of drunk and Wenglish, and then getting angry when I can't understand you
- Piss off my regulars by bitching about the fact that I'm English and taking away work from 'honest Welsh' people (I work in a bar. For eight hours a week. I'm really not)
- Fall asleep on the bar after half a Guinness and drool everywhere
- And call me a f*cking bitch when I wake you up and tell you to leave before you get us in trouble

...I'm not going to be nice to you. Thanks, f*ckwad, I have a massive bruise on my stomach now.

My friends little brother just asked me out. (I say little brother but he's older than me.) It was over facebook so everyone can see it and I want to shut him down but not be too harsh. I'm known as the heart breaker! I can only do "yes" or man shattering. I don't want to hurt his feelings.

tl;dr I want to decline a boys advances without hurting his feelings.
